Christmas Day 2011

Today we celebrate the most important day in history, the birth of our Savior! Happy Birthday Jesus!

We started Christmas Day off by going to church that morning and then having Dean’s family over for Christmas dinner.  We had quite the turnout at our house, Dean’s parents, his sister and her fiancĂ©, his cousins, his uncle, his other uncle and aunt and my parents joined us for dinner.  We enjoyed quite the feast and had a lot of fun visiting with family!

Dean’s cousin knit us a very special baby blanket for our future son or daughter, we will treasure it forever!
Dean’s mom also surprised us with an adorable baby blanket and handmade stuffed elephant which brought tears to my eyes!

We hope and pray that next Christmas we will have our little one in our arms celebrating Christ’s birth with our families.
Merry Christmas!

  1. Looks like you all had a great Christmas!

  2. I am currently researching agencies that can help me adopt from the DRC. Can you private message me at so I can ask you a couple questions about your agency and your experience? I want to make sure I pick an ethical agency that treats people fairly, is honest, and is experienced in arranging Congolese adoptions. Thank you so much.
